Shot List

In this post is my shot list for my teaser trailer, I put in more shots than needed, as it is always a good idea to have as many shots as you can so that I have more to work with.
THE PERFECT FAMILY. THE DREAM HOUSE.THE ULTIMATE NIGHTMARE.

1.       EXT HOUSE – LS of the house with sold sign (try different distances as well)

2.       EXT HOUSE – MLS of the car pulling up outside the house (try different distances as well)

3.       EXT HOUSE – MS of the dad opening the boot and taking boxes out (try different distances)

4.       INT HOUSE – MLS of inside the house with the dad carrying a box into the Kitchen.

5.       INT HOUSE – CU of box

6.       INT HOUSE – TWO SHOT/MS of box on table being opened, mum opening box and dad helping.
Dialogue: ‘Finally we are away from it all now, a new fresh start’.

7.       INT HOUSE – TWO SHOT of parent’s smiling together and drinking a glass of champagne.

8.       INT HOUSE – quick cut to a MCU of mum smiling

9.       INT HOUSE – quick cut to a MCU of Dad smiling

10.   INT HOUSE – CU of glasses clinking together

11.   INT HOUSE –  MS of the youngest child sat in a rocking chair reading a book

12.   INT HOUSE - mum comes in frame and ruffles and plays with her hair. (Shoot from different angles/distances)

13.   INT HOUSE – MCU/tracking shot following the mums face as she ruffles her hair, turns her head around and smile.

14.   INT HOUSE – MS of the family sitting around the dinner table together.

15.   INT HOUSE – MS of the dad with toolbox/paintbrush ready to re-decorate the new house.

16.   INT HOUSE – MS  ‘Welcome to your new home’ cards in the home. (Shoot from all different distances)

17.   1^st shot of a new card being placed in CU AND another shot of tracking from left to right of the welcome to your new home cards with the mum placing another card into the shot

18.   INT HOUSE – MCU/TWO SHOT of mum and dad
Dialogue: Mum says: “So, this is it, a brand new chapter”
Dialogue: Dad says: “This is a completely new beginning,no more pain”
Cut to black and huge impact sound

19.   INT HOUSE – MCU of girl in her room, speaking on the phone, phone suddenly cuts off. Dialogue: ‘Hello, hello, charlotte, are you there?’

20.   INT HOUSE – CU of phone in her hand
Music changes in trailer, impact sounds

21.   INT HOUSE – CU of girl’s facial expression as phone all of a sudden goes dead.
Music is creepy, but soft not to loud yet

22.   INT HOUSE – CU of girl typing number on phone ringing her back again, but no signal.

23.   INT HOUSE – MS of chair in lounge spinning on its own

24.   INT HOUSE – MS of little girl downstairs in pyjamas watching chair spin round on its own. (Shoot from all different distances)
Dialogue: ‘Hello, is someone there?’

25.   INT HOUSE – MCU of the duvet being pulled over the older daughter’s head.

26.   INT HOUSE – MS of her reaction of it being pulled on her

27.   INT HOUSE – ECU of her eyes opening. (Shoot from all different distances)
Music gets faster and louder and more scary/creepy

28.   EXT HOUSE – MS of the mum reading a book to her daughter in the garden
FOLLOWED BY AN IMPACT SOUND, they hear something fall in the house

29.   EXT HOUSE – MS of Swing moving by itself in the garden

30.   INT HOUSE – Reaction shot of family member(dad) through back window looking out into the garden.

31.   INT HOUSE – MS of youngest daughter banging on the window at night trying to get out. (Shoot from all different distances)

32.   INT HOUSE – MS and a pan around Mum on the computer trying to find out the history of this neighbourhood. (Shoot from all different distances)

33.   INT HOUSE – CU/ECU of relevant text on screen.

34.   INT HOUSE – Low angle/non low angle MCU shot looking up at her face

35.   INT HOUSE – CU of mum tapping on keyboard

36.   INT HOUSE – Reaction shot of the dad in bed, and he turns his head because he thinks he can hear whispering. MS/MCU
Dialogue: ‘What was that?’

37.   POLICE STATION – MS of parents talking to authority about the things happening to them in the house.
Dialogue: ‘Why does it keep happening to us, are we cursed officer?’

38.   POLICE STATION – MCU of police officer. Dialogue: ‘The House isn’t haunted, it’s you!’ Point’s to the dad.

39.   POLICE STATION – CU of Dad’s reaction on his face.

40.   EXT HOUSE – A shot where the house is in view and all the lights go of at the same time.

41.   INT HOUSE – MS of the dad running up and down the stairs spinning out of control. Running with a knife/scissors and acting crazy.

42.   INT HOUSE – MCU and a pan around mum hugging children acting like everything is going to be alright.
DO THIS ON MOBILE FIRST, FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES

43.   INT HOUSE – CU of the dad talking to himself under his breath – becoming mad. The Dad is sitting on the top of the stairs, high angle shot.

44.   INT HOUSE – A shot of someone upstairs through the window, taken from outside while person is in parents room upstairs. lighting on full in the room, take at night time while it is dark outside.
 EXPERIMENT WITH THE LIGHTING, TAKE SOME PHOTOS!

45.   INT HOUSE – ECU of the dad shaking on stairs

46.   INT HOUSE – ECU of the dad’s face/eyes as if he has been possessed or someone is taking over him. MAKE OVER HIS EYES!
